• Oxford Wood Crafts: Your Source for Handcrafted Gifts and Scroll Saw Patterns

About Andy Oxford

Master wood crafter, Andy Oxford, creates hand crafted wooden pieces from both his own designs and designs by other wood artists for Oxford Wood Crafts. Andy also enjoys creating the actual patterns, especially clocks. He designs the patterns by hand and then digitally finishes them using computer software.

Andy enjoys creating patterns so much he actually made a book of scroll saw patterns! You can purchase his book on our website or on Amazon. The book consists of eight unique, full-sized clock plans that can be crafted on a scroll saw. Andy described his need to create patterns in his first book:

Many times when searching for clock patterns, I find myself thinking ‘I wish they had done that one piece a little different’. I may like the overall design, but some part just doesn’t work for me and in the end I don’t buy the pattern. With this in mind, most of the clocks in this book have secondary options or in some cases several options for cutting and assembling the clock. If you’re like me and wish to sell your work, a benefit of having several options is variety. You may find one style sells better than another.

Andy first learned to scroll saw from his father at the age of 14. He grew up in Oswego, New York and currently resides in Charleston, South Carolina where he continues his hobby today.

Andy is a newlywed, married to wife Ashley Oxford, and raising four animals, two dogs, Penny and Leonard, and two cats, Noonan and Sasha.
